A time of change - a time of opportunity
This campaign tip (no. 12) was published on Saturday, 12th January 2019
I'm writing this in early January 2019 - when the big topic on the agenda is Brexit and we don't know where the country is headed or what will happen. Should we just "sit tight" on campaigning?
No - a time of change is a time of opportunity. To have the ideas and suggestions out there and reaching people who may be looking for ways forward. The cards are all thrown up in the air and those of us who are campaigning can look to blow a little wind to help them fall in a way that suits. Far better than to wait for them to settle and then look to alter them again!
From my postbag, and shown in today's supporting picture "I note that a lot of premises there started to change hands rather frequently, and a lot of offices that used to be busy are now standing empty. If we crash out of the EU in March, and the UK economy takes the plunge causing even more businesses to close or relocate, would Aztec West still be a desirable location for a new station?" Answer - a darned good time to have it on the agenda. What better way than to help the region's economy in the months and years to come?
