Your chance to hear and and ask questions about transport in our region

The West of England Combined Authority (WECA» (West of England Combined Authority - about)) is organising a Regional Transport Forum on Tuesday March 5, at Keynsham Civic Centre.

The forum is an opportunity for members of the public to hear, and ask questions, about transport services across the region, which includes the Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol City and South Gloucestershire council areas.

West of England Mayor, Tim Bowles, will talk about his and WECA’s role in planning transport at a regional level. He will also talk about the Joint Local Transport Plan (JLTP) which is out to public consultation until March 20, and there will be an opportunity for attendees to take part in the consultation.

First West of England Managing Director, James Freeman, will then speak, followed by Dan Oakey, Regional Development Manager with GWR (Great Western Railway).

Members of the public will be invited to submit questions related to the agenda items during registration.

Attendees should arrive for 4:15pm. The forum starts promptly at 4.30pm and will run until 6:00pm.

Views expressed in posts are not necessarily the views of the operators of the forum.

As well as posting messages onto existing threads, and starting new subjects, members can communicate with each other through personal messages if they wish. And once members have made a certain number of posts, they will automatically be admitted to the "frequent posters club", where subjects not-for-public-domain are discussed; anything from the occasional rant to meetups we may be having ...
