If you represent a group at the TWSW» (TravelWatch SouthWest - website) general meetings, please add the AGM (Annual General Meeting) into your diary too.  Agenda not yet set - the TWSW directors meet twice in September and there's the general meeting in October too - so anything listed at this point except the date would be a bit premature!

The Mint (Fore Street Exeter EX4 3AT) - booked in The Wesley room 16th November.

AGM 12:30?  There's a TravelWatch SouthWest board meeting just ahead of the AGM.  Yesterday's TravelWatch SouthWest board meeting look at plans ahead - general meetings, intermediate meetings, newsletters, strategy etc - I anticipate that the AGM will be followed by a session looking ahead at those matters with members.   We have an excellent lineup for 6th October general meeting in Taunton too - I'll post that as I get an updated electronic copy.

TravelWatch SouthWest CIC (Community Interest Company ) annual report to March 2018 at http://www.passenger.chat/TWSW_CIC_2018.pdf . Such documents are curious because they end 6 months ago ... missing out, them the XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) consultation and other stuff that has happened.

Quoting from the end of that document:

Quote
Looking Forward

The Company’s objectives are:
to be an effective voice for SW transport users,
to highlight strategic issues to decision makers, and
to enable local voices to raise and resolve local issues.

Areas of focus for TravelWatch SouthWest in the coming year will include:

promoting a joined-up approach to spatial planning and transport;
working with the membership, local authorities and bus operators to explore new ways to fund and provide bus services;
inputting to the national review of franchising and regional refranchise processes,
working with others to identify achievable public transport infrastructure improvements;
promoting improved public transport services as contributing to improved air quality and reduced congestion; and
actively engaging with younger generations, understanding their travel habits, frustrations and needs.
